How it works
- Member pays an Ummah One subscription via Stripe
- 10% of every payment is set aside the moment Stripe confirms the payment (50¢ floor - never less)
- The amount is held during Stripe's chargeback dispute period. If a customer disputes a charge after we've already disbursed, UMG absorbs the loss - charities are never asked to return funds
- After the hold, the amount disburses to an active vetted Muslim charity from the rotating pool, with extra weight to under-represented categories like mosques
- Hard floor: fewer than 12 active charities → no disbursement until the pool grows. We will not concentrate sadaqah in too few hands
- Audit row is written + notification email is sent to the subscriber + this page updates within minutes
UMG LLC sends the disbursement (not the subscriber). Members do not receive a charitable receipt. Subscriber's tax-deductible giving happens via direct UmmahCauses donations, which are at 0% platform fees.
